Background

Born on Long Island, Theodore Davis graduated from the College of William and Mary in Virginia with a BA in Government, and is a graduate of New York Law School. He is a member in goodstanding of the state Bars of New York and Connecticut, and is admitted to practice before the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York as well as the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Davis is a member of the American Bar Association, Section of Labor & Employment Law; the New York State Bar Association, Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution, is a Panelist for the New York City Office of Collective Bargaining and also serves as a Pro Bono Arbitrator in Kings County Small Claims Court.

Theodore Davis has extensive experience in arbitration. He has worked as an Enforcement Attorney for the American Stock exchange, a subsidiary of the FINRA, and has been employed in the Arbitration Division of the New York Stock Exchange. He is also a member of the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA).

He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and has appeared "of counsel" and as direct representative for immigrants seeking political asylum in the United States in over 100 cases since 2003. His clients have sought refuge in the United States fleeing persecution in West Africa, China, and the former Soviet Union.

After graduating law school, Theo served Mayor Giuliani's Office of Labor Relations. Representing the Mayor, Theo argued more than one-hundred cases at arbitration. After leaving City service for a career on Wall Street, Theo was appointed to serve as an Impartial Arbitrator for the New York City Office of Collective Bargaining - presiding over cases where he used to be an advocate. Theo has worked on Wall Street since 1998, representing brokers and securities firms in litigation before the FINRA and NYSE. He has also worked as an Enforcement Attorney for the American Stock exchange, a subsidiary of the FINRA.
